VEET ME PLEASE!

Free Beauty Events recently sent me Veet Spray On Hair Removal Cream - Sensitive Formula to try. I am usually a razor and shaving cream kinda gal, but I was excited to give it a go.

"New Veet Spray-on Hair Removal Cream is a great innovation in skin care.

Developed for women who desire easier depilation - you just apply it fast and simply directly from spray onto the required areas, with no need of spreading. Then the cream is removed in the usual way to result in a velvety look and smooth skin."

I applied this on my lower legs (below knee) while in the shower. **Use this product with dry legs!** I didn't want to get it all over my bathroom! I noticed the scent right away. And not in a good way...it has that same scent other hair removal creams I have tried in the past. Not impressed but perhaps there is no way to mask the scent.

Once I applied an even layer I went about my business. Checking email, reading comments from you guys, and before I knew it the 5 minutes was over!! I put my legs back in the tub and got to work with the pink spatula. I was pleased to see that it removed every hair! With other creams I have used in the past there has been a almost greasy feel when removing the cream. Know what I mean? This had a little bit of that, but washing my legs off with warm water really took that away!

I don't have tons of hair on my legs, but the hair that is there is very dark and thick! Gross! **Sorry if that's TMI** They feel so moisturized and the yucky scent didn't linger, so I guess I can live with that! So tonight is the first time I have used this, so I will let you guys know how long my legs stay smooth!

Free Beauty Events also sent me some Clearasil Products. They sent me the Stay Clear Oil Free Daily Face Wash and the Ultra Pimple Blocker pen. Thankfully, I don't have acne, so I can't really review or use them! So I'm going to turn this opportunity into something fun! I'm looking for someone to review these products for my blog! Yes, a guest blogger!! I'll gladly send you the products to try and you'll send me your review to post on my blog! I would like for the person reviewing this to be a fellow beauty blogger and in the US. Just leave your comment below that you are interested and I'll pick someone randomly! Obviously, you will need to have a tendency towards breaks outs to review this. =)

FTC Disclosure: I was sent these products from Free Beauty Events. I was not paid to write this review. These are my honest thoughts. I am not affiliated with Clearasil or Veet.

MORE ENTRIES

Here are latest entries for my "Sedona Lace your Face" contest!

This is my makeup creation. I was inspired by the colors reflected in the clouds and how the gradually change. I used a matte yellow with a mermaid yellow dusted over it for the base color. Then I added a pearl zest orange shadow, a very pink pearl shadow and a light pearl purple shadow. I have a bit of shadow and very bright pink lip color.

Obviously I did the same color scheme... I tried not to blend the orange at all because I wanted to keep it more defined, since it's rock as opposed to the other colors that represent sky or air. I also used some glitter on top to represent the shadows on the rock.

The blush is a matte orange, and I kept it pretty sharp, again to represent the rocks. I used a bright orange gloss but it didn't end up looking orange in the end. I dabbed the glitter on my lips as well.

Don't forget to make time to create your entry! Submissions due by June 27th, midnight EST!!!

SUNNY BEIGE WHAAT?

If you read my blog regularly, like you know you should ;), then you'll remember that I got some Too Faced Tanning Bed in a a Tube a while back! It didn't turn out so well for me, so I returned it and got some Laura Mercier foundation. The makeup artist there matched me with Sunny Beige!! I'm always Fair or Light in all foundations, so I couldn't believe that this is my color! I know it's just a name, but I was happy!  Wow! I obviously didn't get the Revlon powder blush at Sephora, but I wanted to go ahead and review it along with this foundation.

"Oil Free Foundation
This highly pigmented foundation can be applied lightly for a sheer finish, or layered for fuller coverage. Each shade was designed to enhance the natural undertones of the skin. Ideal for all skin types. "

For $42 for 1 ounce, this better be good! I have read pretty good reviews on this foundation, so I was ready to give it a go when the makeup artist suggested this foundation for my dry skin. Again, I was super excited to wear Sunny Beige, which is a warm yellow beige, for fair to light complexions. It comes with a pump---yeah!! So here's the consistency:

As you can see, it's a bit runny, but I think this helps you apply it pretty sheer if you like. You can also build it up in areas you need more coverage. For me, I need major coverage under/around my eyes! Here's my naked face, in case you missed it last time I reviewed a foundation! Be prepared, it's not pretty!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Bring on the foundation!!

I love to use my Sedona Lace foundation brush in the areas I really need coverage! Then I like to blend the rest out on my face with my fingers.

So here I am with my foundation and blush on! You can see that I still need some more coverage under my eyes, but I know my Benefit Erase Paste can take care of this! But I think the foundation gives a pretty nice coverage without looking like I'm wearing any. It feels very light too, which I love. You have a small window of time to really spread this on, so using my hands to warm the foundation gives me a little bit more time to perfect it!

I love this blush! The color is Smokey Rose and it's so pretty! The pigmentation is decent, especially since I only paid $4!  But I think next time I'll spend more to get something more pigmented, like my NARS blush in Orgasm. Also, the packaging is SUPER hard to open!! Perhaps it will get easier the more I use it?? Two thumbs down for hard to open packaging! Here's a close up of the blush:

10 MUST HAVES FOR SUMMER 2010

Hello lovelies! These are my 10 "Must haves" for Summer 2010!

Urban Decay Summer of Love Palette: The colors in this are so pigmented and smooth! I love them! You can create a really smokey look with these hot summer shades! This comes with the eye priming potion in Sin and also a 24/7 liner in Bourbon.

Benefit Highbeam- The perfect highlight in my opinion! I really have to get to Sephora to get the full size!

Hana Shine Shield- This makes my hair so smooth and shiny! I love it. Use to make your hair shine when you wear your natural texture, curl, or flat iron!

AVON Smooth Minerals Blush in Radiance- I have really been loving this lately. There is no shimmer to this, just gorgeous color! It doesn't make my dry skin look dryer and it lasts all day with primer.

AVON Smooth Minerals Lipstick in Apricot Glow- I know coral is the big color for this summer, but if you are a fair skinned gal like myself that finds it hard to tan, this is a great option for you! I especially love this color on blue eyed babes! This is super smooth and you can wear lightly or build to make a bolder lip.

Sedona Lace 12 piece brush set in baby pink- I adore these brushes! If you want to read a full review (and how they compare to the Internet sensation Sigma), click here! These will not break your summer budget and apply makeup flawlessly!

MAC Fix +- Just a spritz of fix plus and your face will feel so refreshed! I don't know that it really does anything to make my makeup last any long, but it feels so good and also takes away any powder look I may get. It feels very moisturizing on my dry skin.

AVON Reversalist Day Cream with SPF 25- I love this moisturizer! Not only does it have SPF 25, it helps repair fine lines and helps prevent new ones! Yeah! Though I prefer products to be in a bottle with pump for hygiene, this is still my favorite!

Corioliss 1" Classic Pro styling iron- This is a new toy of mine and I know I will be getting so much use out of this this summer! My hair tends to get big & frizzy during hot, humid months and this will keep my looking smooth & shiny! I'm most impressed that my hair will stay straight until I wash it!! Even after I put my hair in a ponytail for hours, when I take it down, it's still pin straight! Though I've yet to master it, you can also do curls and flips with this as well!

Cover Girl Waterproof  Last Blast Mascaras in black- I've got to go with my two favorites! Last Blast Length and Last Blast Volume. I use these two every day and get incredible lashes! They are so long and thick, people ofen ask me if I am wear false eyelashes! They don't smudge, so it's perfect for a hot summer!

Please visit my blog to enter my "Sedona Lace your Face" makeup contest! It is open internationally and the winner will recieve their very own Sedona Lace 12 pc baby pink brushes!

MISIKKO PRESENTS CORIOLISS CLASSIC PRO STYLING IRON

Want to go from this:

To this?:

Recently Misikko asked me if I'd like to review their Corioliss Classic Proffessional Styling Iron which retails  at $200.00 but you can get from Misikko for only $89.99! Of course I said YES!!

When I got my package, I was blown away at how fast it came and how nicely it was put together! I felt so special opening the box. There were white candles and roses inside! Of course I took pictures that I can't find now! But it was so nice! I even got a bottle of their Hana Shine Sheild!

As you can see from the pictures above, this flat iron really does a great job! Here's the specifics on it from the Misikko webpage:

Ceramic plates for negative ions and hair-healthy far infrared heat, creating shiny, frizz-free results
1" plate size for easy styling of short to medium length hair
Straighten, flip or curl
Heats up in less than 6 seconds
Adjustable temperature from 140°F to 410°F - great for all hair types
Convenient on/off switch
1 year manufacturer warranty

This iron really does heat up fast! And I LOVE that the switch to turn it on is on the inside of the iron handles! I am always accidently turning my old on off with my thumb! Also , the cord swivels so it doesn't get all tangled and it's also really long!

I was a little worried at first that a 1" iron would take forever to straighten out my hair. I was really impressed that it only took me a few minutes longer than when I use my 2" Conair iron! It glides through my hair much smoother than any other iron I've used before. With my Conair, which I reviewed here, occasionally caught my hair and snapped it--which really hurts! But I had zero snagging with this the Corioliss. The edges also bevel, so you can also create curls--which I have yet to master!

As you can also see, my hair came out really smooth and shiny. And the best part, it lasted until I washed my hair!! Even AFTER I wore my hair in a ponytail for hours. That was the biggest shocker to me. I didn't get that annoyed dent in my hair that ponytails give you.

Do I recommend this flat iron??

Oh yes!

I finally found the pictures I took when it first came! Check out how nice Misikko presesnts their products!

FTC Disclosurer: While this product was sent to me by Misikko for review, this opinion is soley mine. I was not paid to write this by Misikko or Corioliss. I am not affiliated with any of the companies mentioned.
