♥Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art ♥

Hi Dolls! I'm back with another post wish a first impression and swatches of the Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art Lid + Line + Lash. I've had these for about a month. I haven't worn all of them but for the ones I have, I'll let you know what I think so far! I have 9 of the 10 colors--I just couldn't fin d the last one. But looking online at it, I'm probably fine without it, though I did want them all swatched here. **If I find it and decide to pick it up, I'll update this post! You can tell me in the comments if you'd really like to see it. **

 

 

As you can see, this packaging looks a lot like Revlon's double ended nail polishes. I've got just one of those, but I love it! I was really hoping these turned out to be as pretty as they look!

 

Let's get to those swatches!!!

 

 

Topaz Twinkle is just amazing! The cream shadow swatches exactly how it looks in the packaging. It's very opaque so it doesn't require you to layer it on your lid for full color. The glitter is amazing! It's has rainbow glitters that are so fine mixed in with a base color similar to the cream shadow. The glitter really makes in impact so you don't have to layer on a lot to get this to show up. I ♥ this one!

 

 

This is Desert Dazzle. I have not used this one yet but I just ♥ it from the swatches! Again, this one was very pigmented and doesn't seem like it will need to be layered to get full color from the cream shadow or the glitter.

 

This is Peach Prism. I'm officially obsessed with this color! ♥♥♥ It's a softer color so it's perfect to wear anytime, anyplace! I have worn this many times! I've worn the glitter all over my lid as well. It's more subtle than some of the others, but I think that works with this color. You can layer this one to make it more intense if you like.

 

This is Burnish Bling. In this swatch, I found that the cream was extremely pigmented, but the glitter--not so much. I really layered a lot in this swatch and you can still barely see it. It seems to be more clear with a very subtle glitter. But, that might be what someone is going for---if you want a super subtle glitter look, this might be for you.

On to the next group....

 

 

This is Green Glimmer. Again, the cream shadow was insanely pigmented and the glitter just really fell short. If this appeals to you though, right on sister/brother! I did use this on my 7 year old playing making and she really enjoyed it.

 

This is Lilac Luster and this was by far the least impressive. Both the cream and the glitter are very transparent. This is several layers of each. Pretty disappointing. Two thumbs down.

 

 

This is Fuchsia Flash. The pink comes off a bit paler than what is in the tube (which is really the only one I felt did that). The glitter on this one is also a bit lack luster. *Merp*

 

 

This is Black Brilliance. The cream shadow on this one is crazy insane! It's so black!!! I haven't use this one yet but would make for a killer night out look! The white glitter is really layered here so you can see it. I wish they had more it more pigmented, but perhaps it looks stunning over the black--if I get around to trying that, I'll post that on my Instagram. **I'll post all my looks with these over there, so make sure you follow me there! And here are those four together so you can compare. Just look how amazing the cream shadows are in Green Glimmer and Black Brilliance---they leave Lilac Luster (especially!) and Fuchsia Flash in the dirt!! But unfortunately, all the glitters aren't stellar.

 

 

I have one more but due to the small size of the back of my hand, this is the lone ranger...

 

 

This beauty is Gold Glitz and might be the most opaque of the bunch! The gold is definitely brighter and more yellow than I would have preferred but at least the pigmentation is on fleek! The gunmetal glitter is just to die for! That is one layer! Can you believe it?

These are all using Desert Dazzle. And YES you can use the glitter on your lashes, supposedly, though I wouldn't if you have sensitive eyes like I can sometimes. You can do an intense look with these, like shown here, or something more wearable for every day, like what you are likely to see on my Instagram. I hope you found this post helpful!

Current Fav's

Here are some of my current favorites! I have been using these either every day or just have fallen in love with the look I achieve with it!

This is the Maybelline Eye Studio quad in Copper Chic. These swatches are with no primer, so when you do use one, the colors are even more intense. The shadows in this quad are very creamy in texture, blend very well, and all have a beautiful sheen to them as you can see. I love these colors for my blue eyes.

On the left is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Caramel Cool. I wish this was in the permanent line. Sadly, it was limited edition. It is such a beautiful color. I'm sure there is a Mac Paint Pot that is similar

On the right is the L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Amber Rush. This is in their permanent collection, so run out and get it if you haven't already! It's the most perfect Rose Gold eye shadow! You will love it! 

Both of these are great on their own, but also look amazing as bases. I use it with the Maybelline quad picture above every time!

I have been obessessed with this bronzer from The Balm since day 1! It's the Bahama Mama matte bronzer. It is a wonderful contouring powder, even for someone with such fair skin as myself. I love using the Real Techniques contour brush with a light hand. 

This is something in my collection that I have recently rediscovered! I was watching a beautiful tutorial by Sam Schuerman and dug this out to try to recreate that look. This pigment if from Heavenly Naturals, I think, and it's called Passion. I just love the way this looks! It's not as intense copper as the one Sam used, but it does the job! I don't see this exact color on their site anymore, but they have something just as beautiful in their fall 08 collection!

This is a wonderful eye liner! It's from AVON and it's the Jullian Dempsey Kohl liner. I have had this forever and it still glides on smooth. And even those it's a Kohl liner, I can use it in my water line without worrying about smudging all over my face! It won't last 12 hours, but if you don't mind touching up, you'll be fine with this. It comes in a really long pencil and I am down to just 3" left. I will repurchase this product! 

I have had a long running love affair with Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso! These are very domed products and mine is almost flat I've used it so much. As you can see it has the perfect peachy shimmer without having glitter. It's just the perfect summer blush for me.

And the foundation I've been loving is the L'Oreal True Match. I'm in color C3 Cool Creamy Natural. It has medium coverage and looks so natural on my skin. I just love it! I wish it came with a pump, but otherwise, just love this foundation. I don't notice any oxidization and it wears all day. 

I didn't take a swatch of the Garnier Skin Renew anti-dark circle roller because it doesn't really look like much. It's wonderful for under my eyes for a bit of brightening.

TARTE GLOW YOUR WAY TO GORGEOUS

In case you have been living under a rock lately *lol*, this is the Tarte "Glow your way to goregous 8pc Maracuja & Clay collection" from QVC. I have never had anything from Tarte, so I was really excited to get to try so many different things for such a good price!! I'm going to take you through the whole kit! Let's get started!

The left side holds a ton of stuff! As you can see, there is more than 8 items in this kit. I think at the last minute Tarte decided to include a few more items, which is fab!

You guys know I'm a total  brush junky, so I'm showing you those first. These are actually really nice brushes! You get a blush brush and a cream shadow brush.

Blush Brush

The blush brush is a on the smaller side--which I've heard some say they don't like---but I do. It's also not super dense, so it really picks up color and puts it down lightly. I think that is perfect because the blush in the kit is SUPER pigmented and you can't have a heavy hand with it. I think this brush is perfect for this blush.

Cream Eye Shadow Brush

This is a pretty basic cream shadow brush. It's pretty stiff and it small so you can really pack color on the lid. I wouldn't recommend trying to use this brush to spread product out. I just pack some color on, then use my fingertip to blend it out a bit.

Here's the makeup in this side of the pocket! Maracuja Creaseless Concealer (I picked Fair), Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara in Black, Lip Luster in Sweet,  and Amazonian Clay SmolderEYES eyeliner in Fig.

No idea where the picture of the up close concealer went!! Whoops! But here's the swatch for you:

As you can probably tell, this is a pretty thick concealer. Though it says creaseless in the title, I found that it did crease after several hours of wear. It gives pretty good coverage though. Maybe I just need to play with it and try it a few ways. Pointers welcome. =)

This is the Lip Luster in Sweet. It has a really nice color, nicely pigmented without being over the top, and has an awesome minty feel that I love. At first, I was afraid this color would be too pink--like bubblegum. But much to my surprise, I love it!

It's such a pretty, sheer color. I also love that it's like a jumbo pencil. It also clicks at the bottom for more product. This color is exclusive to QVC until this fall.

This lip luster feels so good on the lips! It's so light, I just feel like I'm wearing a bit of balm. Smells nice too!

This is the Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara in Black. Besides the high price tag and the bulky packaging (that is cute!) I wasn't sure how this was going to go. The formula isn't too wet,  but isn't dry either---if that makes any sense. The brush is a nice smaller size!

Not the most focused picture, sorry. But I do like the brush a lot. It grabs and separates my lashes nicely and is also pretty black. It doesn't do much for volume though, so I still reach for my Carbon Black mascara when I'm done with this one.

This is the Amazonian Clay SmolderEYES eyeliner in Fig. It has the liner at one side and a great smudger on the other.

Again, not super focused...so sorry!! But this is a creamy, gorgeous liner!!! I love the color. SO glad they didn't do black or brown---have millions of those. Purple is such a great color for all eye colors.

This is a really nice smudger. It's soft and does a really nice job at moving product around without tugging at your eye.

BEAutiful!!!!! I love this and can't say enough! It goes on so smooth and really does last all day!!

There's also a pocket in front of the slots where these products were so you can store even more goodies! This is such a great bag for travel or for just throwing it on your purse for touch ups.

This is the 12-Hour Wear Clay Blush in Peaceful. I have been wanting to try these blush since they came out! People are not joking when they said how pigmented these are. The first time I put it on....I put WAY too much to put it on. The color isn't too pink, like it looks in the pan. Also, the glitter you see in the pan comes off as a nice sheen on the skin. I love this blush! For me, this is the superstar in the set!! These do last a long time, though I think 12 hours is a stretch.

Looooooooooooove this color. =)

This is the Amazionian Clay Bronzer. This is one of the extras Tarte decided to put in and I'm really glad they did! It's not a full size, but it's a deluxe sample.

You can see glitter in the pan, but like the blush, just has a nice sheen on the skin when applied lightly.

So glowy!!! I love this! This is perfect for that bronzed goddess look for summer!!!

This is the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Cream Shadow in Shimmering Taupe. Something else I was really looking forward to trying. Again, I don't think this is a full size product, but cream shadows go far and last a long time, so I think this is a good size.

This is such a pretty color. The texture of this isn't as smooth as I would have liked. It is a bit on the drier side. MAC paint pots are much smoother. But it's not bad...just a little harder to work with. The cream shadow brush puts color on well, but you only have a short window to move it around with your fingertips before it locks itself in place. This does last a good while with nothing else on top of it, but not all day. When placing a shadow on top, it makes a really nice base.

I have to show you the swatch with the others! Sorry! But I think you can see all these are just beautiful. The bronzer here isn't as sheered out, but you can see it better in the picture above.

I didn't take another picture of the bonus Maracuja oil sample they added to the collection. You can see it pictured above. The scent is a little meh. I used it on my face one night. Feels similar on the skin as Argon oil. I'm not big on the scent, though it's not awful. I think I'll stick with Argon oil. Also not pictured up close, the pencil sharpener....seen one you've seen them all!
