VAPOUR ORGANIC BEAUTY, PART 3

The good folks at Vapour Organic Beauty sent me some goodies quite a while ago. I've been enjoying many things. Here's the next items in my Vapour Organic Beauty series! These are cream eyeshadow sticks!

Two are from the Mesmerize Shimmer Eye Treatment line, Cinder & Ember. The other one is from the Mesmerize Line (which is supposed to be matte--but I can't agree with that--check out the swatches). Here's a bit from the company about these products that I found to be most interesting:

"Mesmerize Shimmer Eye Treatment is a seductive, sparkling eye color that defines and enhances the eyes while delivery hydrating antioxidants to the skin. Like Vapour’s original matte Mesmerize Eye Color Treatment, Mesmerize Shimmer is infused with Vapour’s nourishing, eye-specific botanical blend, including anti-inflammatory Chrysanthemum and circulation-enhancing Horsetail, to brighten and define the lids without the use of harsh chemical adhesives."

Sorry this pic is a bit on the blurry side--like how my camera picked up the background better than the foreground? Yeah... me neither! Check out the swatches

These are so cute to start! I just love the Vapour packaging! Not only can you recycle it, it's awesome to throw in your bag/purse and not worry about it getting all over your stuff or breaking! It's very nice and creamy is and easy to use. I just swipe my fingertips in a small circle to warm up the product and use my ring finger to apply some to my eyelids. They say you can wear this on your own, so I tried that out one day.

Well...that ended up a mess. It slip-slided all over my eyes and down under my eyes. Not good. So I tried with mineral eye shadow, as suggested. I used some of my lovely Smooth Minerals from AVON that I love. This worked out much better. It kept my shadow on all day and kept it looking nice. I didn't have any creasing either, so whoray!

Here's a some picture of my makeup complete wearing Cinder on my eyelids as a base. The shadow in this one is actually from my 88 Metal Palette from Sedona Lace--probably one of my all time favorite palettes!

At $16 a pop, they are a bit pricey. But the benefits of using organic products outweighs it in my book! These sticks are small (.17 ounces), but a little seriously goes a long way! I think if they made them bigger, they'd probably go bad before you'd have a chance to use it all. I've had these for several months and have hardly made a dent in them.

Overall, I really enjoy these sticks! They are beautiful colors, which I think would flatter most skin tones and they not harsh to your skin/eyes. I know a lot of people are looking for more natural and earth friendly makeup and I think this fits the bill!

Have you tried Vapour Organic Beauty products? What are your favorites?

VAPOUR ORGANIC BEAUTY, PART 3

"This makeup removing cleansing oil is a beautiful blend of Organic Camellia oil to keep skin bright, toned, and balanced, and Organic Evening Primrose oil, rich in anti-aging EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids) to lock in moisture and boost skin elasticity. Light, dry certified Organic Sunflower oil has been further enriched with nourishing organic botanicals, including silica-rich Horse Tail to improve circulation, anti-inflammatory Borage Flower, and antioxidant rich Helichrysum Flower to nourish and enhance the skin as it cleans."

I've been using Vapour Organic Beauty's Cleansing Oil mainly to remove eye makeup. I squeeze two pumps on a fluffy cotton ball and gently press it to my shut eye. Then it gently wiggle it and swipe away all my eye makeup! This works great at removing waterproof mascara and eye liners. It is an oil and does leave my skin oily feeling, so I wouldn't use this all over my face.

Like all the other VOB products I've been trying, I love the packaging. It's a plastic pump that is not only great for travel, it's sanitary!!  It's also chalked full of great organic ingredients that are so good for your skin and has anti-aging properties! Yeah!

The scent--it's very light, I can't really describe it. VOB describes it as aromatherapy, but I don't really notice the scent unless I put my nose very close to it. My eyes tend to be sensitive and this doesn't bother them.

I the only con I'd have with this is the price. It's $26 for a little less than 1 ounce. MAC's cleansing off oil is $29 for 5 ounces. So I guess it comes down to how good you feel about using organic products or not. I've never used the one by MAC, so this is not a comparison. Oh, one more thing, for reasons unknown to me, VOB isn't a supplier on OpenSky anymore, so it's not available in my NV Beauty Boutique anymore.

Have you tried anything for VOB?

VAPOUR ORGANIC BEAUTY PART 2

Hi everyone! I'm back with another Vapour Beauty review! This time I'm showing you their multi-use blush stain in Impulse & the Aura Multi-use in Spark.

Check out these gorgeous shades!

These are multi-purpose, which is great when you are traveling or just like to save money by not having to purchase a bunch of different products. You can use both of these on your cheeks, lips, and eyes for a pop of color. At first, I was worried that Impulse would be waaaaay too much for my fair skin! But you can make it very sheer and it looks quite nice!

Here's the swatches of both:

And here's how they look blended out:

I really enjoy both of these products! I think they colors are great! And they are 70% certified organic (other 30% is organic, but aren't certifiable ingredients) I feel really good about putting these on my skin.I have used both of these on my cheeks and lips, but not on my eyes. I don't wear any colors even close to this to use as a base, so I can't speak on that. I do find that I have to set my cheeks with powder for it to have staying power, but I usually do that anyway. As far as wear on my lips, I'd say it's not great for long term wear, but it is ok when you've got time/desire to reapply through out the day.

I can't believe I didn't talk about the packaging in the first part of my Vapour Organic Beauty review! I really love the packaging! It's a really pretty, sparkley blue plastic stick--for most items.  I think they are awesome for travel, as you won't worry about them breaking and they are a good size. I have to say that a few of them, after I've dialed it up and back down, the product didn't go back down. So I had to use my fingers to push it down. So that's a bummer, but no deal breaker for me.

You really get so much in these sticks, it will take me forever to use this up! I definately think they are worth the price of $28 a pop.

You can find many Vapour Organic Beauty products in my NV Beauty Boutique! Please check it out for amazing Holiday present ideas for that makeup lover in your life!

I will soon be announcing my next give-a-way! It's going to be amazing! As you may have noticed, NV Beauty is about to have it's first anniversary! Yeah! So for the last month of so, I've been contacting some of my favorite suppliers/brands asking them to make a donation! I think you all will be really excited about this as well! More details to come....

Until next time, Stay NV'ious!

Vapour’s Organic ingredients are rich in Antioxidants, EFAs (essential fatty acids), Vitamins & Minerals. Vapour offers a gorgeous palette that delivers optimal radiance, texture, and definition. Create a polished every-day look or play up the drama with Vapour Organic Beauty."

The Halo Body Spotlight in Moonlight is the perfect way to add a sophositicated way to add subtle shimmer (and moisture) to your  shoulders, arms, décolletage and back!

I really haven't used this on my body, but I've used it as a cheek highlighter---just a tad! It's a really nice color and adds the perfect highlight to the skin while still adding good stuff!!  All of these sticks here are chalked full of anti-oxidants.

The Solar Translucent Bronzer in Simmer is a great way to, again, add color to your body/face while adding moisture as well! This also has sun-specific super anti-oxidants: pomegranate, green tea, and açia berry!

The swatch here looks pretty dark, but you can really sheer this out if you are fair like me! I haven't used this too much, but I do enjoy the color. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin at all. There are two other colors available.

The Stratus Instant Skin Perfector  helps diminish the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and pores. It gives you a smooth canvas to apply foundation. It's also supposed to immediately brighten your complexion.

Out of these three, I've used the stratus most. To warm the product up, I rub it on the back of my hand. Then I swipe the stick over my face and smooth it out with my fingertips. It doesn't feel heavy on my skin, not does it really have a scent. It's not sticky or oily. My skin looks dewy, but not oily--which is fab! I've got dry skin, so my skin loves this, though people with oily skin can use this too!

As far as it diminishing my pores, fine lines, and uneven skin tone....I can't really say that I've seen any change at all. This really provides me with nicely moisturized skin (you skip traditional moisturizers before applying this!) and it creates a nice smooth palette. I was hoping this would also help extend the life of my makeup, but no such luck. I found by the end of the day, most of my foundation had faded away.

Overall I really like these products and will continue to play with them and pass on any tips and tricks to you. If you've tried these, please let me know how you like them and any tips you've got for me!

GUEST BLOGGER?

"Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation is a buildable, medium-to-full coverage foundation that perfects the skin without appearing heavy or mask-like. Its exceptional finish starts as a liquid and quickly transforms to perfect the skin’s surface with a silky texture that blends easily with the skin for the desired amount of coverage. Atmosphere Soft Focus allows the skin to breathe and will not clog pores or dry out the skin. Atmosphere Soft Focus also nourishes with Organic Pumpkin and Papaya complex and brightens the complexion with Organic Camellia. It is available in 10 shades to beautify all skin tones."

Vapour Organic Beauty was kind enough to send me some products to try. One of them was this foundation, in color 120. It's too dark for me, so I'm looking for another blogger to review it! If you think this is a match for your skin tone and are interested in trying an organic foundation, please leave a comment below! Blogger must be in the US, please. If multiple people volunteer...I'll just pick someone at random.
