♥L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Blush♥

I love cream blushes in the summer time! I think they are perfect to pop on over a tinted moisturizer or BB/CC Cream and look really natural. You can also use them over foundation and under a powder blush to amp things up! I like the L'Oreal Visible Lift Foundation so I had to try these!

Here's what L'Oreal says about this product:
"Now a blush that blurs dullness with sheer color instantly while delivering the anti-aging benefits of Visible Lift. For a fresh, smooth youthful finish you'll love. And not a flaw in sight."

They come in three beautiful colors! Top to bottom: Soft Berry, Soft Pink, and Soft Peach.

When I first squeezed some out, I thought they were more of a gel formula, instead of a cream. Perhaps they are some kind of hybrid. I also thought they were going to be more pigmented from the picture above, but as the name suggests, they are soft and very blendable!

These are very soft, natural looking colors. They contain dimethicone so they glide on really smooth. I don't feel like they are a long lasting blush, but it should get you through a typical 8 hour work day if you have normal or dry skin. I'm not sure how good this would be for oily skin. As far as anti-aging and looking flawless...I can't speak to that. I see no difference in my skin when wearing it/not. I don't have signs of aging on my cheeks (at least that's one place that still looks young!). I can say that it looks smooth and natural.

The only real drawback is the price. These are $12.99 a pop! I think that's very high for a drugstore blush. You do get quite a bit of product and it does go a long way---but still!

What do you think about prices in the drugstore now? Leave me your opinions in the comment section below!

Current Fav's

Here are some of my current favorites! I have been using these either every day or just have fallen in love with the look I achieve with it!

This is the Maybelline Eye Studio quad in Copper Chic. These swatches are with no primer, so when you do use one, the colors are even more intense. The shadows in this quad are very creamy in texture, blend very well, and all have a beautiful sheen to them as you can see. I love these colors for my blue eyes.

On the left is the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Caramel Cool. I wish this was in the permanent line. Sadly, it was limited edition. It is such a beautiful color. I'm sure there is a Mac Paint Pot that is similar
On the right is the L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Amber Rush. This is in their permanent collection, so run out and get it if you haven't already! It's the most perfect Rose Gold eye shadow! You will love it!
Both of these are great on their own, but also look amazing as bases. I use it with the Maybelline quad picture above every time!

I have been obessessed with this bronzer from The Balm since day 1! It's the Bahama Mama matte bronzer. It is a wonderful contouring powder, even for someone with such fair skin as myself. I love using the Real Techniques contour brush with a light hand.

This is something in my collection that I have recently rediscovered! I was watching a beautiful tutorial by Sam Schuerman and dug this out to try to recreate that look. This pigment if from Heavenly Naturals, I think, and it's called Passion. I just love the way this looks! It's not as intense copper as the one Sam used, but it does the job! I don't see this exact color on their site anymore, but they have something just as beautiful in their fall 08 collection!

This is a wonderful eye liner! It's from AVON and it's the Jullian Dempsey Kohl liner. I have had this forever and it still glides on smooth. And even those it's a Kohl liner, I can use it in my water line without worrying about smudging all over my face! It won't last 12 hours, but if you don't mind touching up, you'll be fine with this. It comes in a really long pencil and I am down to just 3" left. I will repurchase this product!

I have had a long running love affair with Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso! These are very domed products and mine is almost flat I've used it so much. As you can see it has the perfect peachy shimmer without having glitter. It's just the perfect summer blush for me.

And the foundation I've been loving is the L'Oreal True Match. I'm in color C3 Cool Creamy Natural. It has medium coverage and looks so natural on my skin. I just love it! I wish it came with a pump, but otherwise, just love this foundation. I don't notice any oxidization and it wears all day.

I didn't take a swatch of the Garnier Skin Renew anti-dark circle roller because it doesn't really look like much. It's wonderful for under my eyes for a bit of brightening.

Don't forget to leave me all your current favorites in the comment section and say NV'ious!

First Ombre Hair Attempt!

So Ombre Hair has been a big thing for a few years now...and I'm just getting to the party! I recently became obessessed with Glee and was LOVING Lea Michelle's Ombre! I just had to have it! My sister in law is does hair so I figured, why not?

I just love her hair!!! It's amazing! I just didn't want the bangs. I love how it's not brown to blonde...it's more subtle and golden.

I told my sister in law, "If my hair comes out like this, we're going to rumble!":
(If this looks like your hair and you love it---you rock it girl! But it's just too extreme for me.)

Here's what she used:

L'Oreal Excellence HiColor in H16 Honey Blonde.

Salon Care 30 Crème Developer

I put a few Keek's up during the process if you would like to see:

By the time she blow dried and styled my hair it was too late to film because there was no light! But here's some photos that I took throughout the process!

What my hair looked like before any color! This is the natural texture of my hair if I don't flatiron it.

Ana mixing up the magic!

 All the foils in!
It was really hot so she pinned it all on the top of my head! This picture was from when I first saw myself!
I decided to rock it!
Spent some time with the hubby while it processed!
And viola! A blow out and flatiron curls later.....

Before/After

And my favorite, next day curls!

Without the flash/daylight, it looks more subtle. I really love how it turned out! What do you think?
