♥Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art ♥

Hi Dolls! I'm back with another post wish a first impression and swatches of the Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art Lid + Line + Lash. I've had these for about a month. I haven't worn all of them but for the ones I have, I'll let you know what I think so far! I have 9 of the 10 colors--I just couldn't fin d the last one. But looking online at it, I'm probably fine without it, though I did want them all swatched here. **If I find it and decide to pick it up, I'll update this post! You can tell me in the comments if you'd really like to see it. **

As you can see, this packaging looks a lot like Revlon's double ended nail polishes. I've got just one of those, but I love it! I was really hoping these turned out to be as pretty as they look!

Let's get to those swatches!!!

Topaz Twinkle is just amazing! The cream shadow swatches exactly how it looks in the packaging. It's very opaque so it doesn't require you to layer it on your lid for full color. The glitter is amazing! It's has rainbow glitters that are so fine mixed in with a base color similar to the cream shadow. The glitter really makes in impact so you don't have to layer on a lot to get this to show up. I ♥ this one!

This is Desert Dazzle. I have not used this one yet but I just ♥ it from the swatches! Again, this one was very pigmented and doesn't seem like it will need to be layered to get full color from the cream shadow or the glitter.

This is Peach Prism. I'm officially obsessed with this color! ♥♥♥ It's a softer color so it's perfect to wear anytime, anyplace! I have worn this many times! I've worn the glitter all over my lid as well. It's more subtle than some of the others, but I think that works with this color. You can layer this one to make it more intense if you like.

This is Burnish Bling. In this swatch, I found that the cream was extremely pigmented, but the glitter--not so much. I really layered a lot in this swatch and you can still barely see it. It seems to be more clear with a very subtle glitter. But, that might be what someone is going for---if you want a super subtle glitter look, this might be for you.

Here's the first four colors together so you can see how they compare a bit better!

On to the next group....

This is Green Glimmer. Again, the cream shadow was insanely pigmented and the glitter just really fell short. If this appeals to you though, right on sister/brother! I did use this on my 7 year old playing making and she really enjoyed it.

This is Lilac Luster and this was by far the least impressive. Both the cream and the glitter are very transparent. This is several layers of each. Pretty disappointing. Two thumbs down.

This is Fuchsia Flash. The pink comes off a bit paler than what is in the tube (which is really the only one I felt did that). The glitter on this one is also a bit lack luster. *Merp*

This is Black Brilliance. The cream shadow on this one is crazy insane! It's so black!!! I haven't use this one yet but would make for a killer night out look! The white glitter is really layered here so you can see it. I wish they had more it more pigmented, but perhaps it looks stunning over the black--if I get around to trying that, I'll post that on my Instagram. **I'll post all my looks with these over there, so make sure you follow me there! If you have a beauty page, I'll follow you back.**

And here are those four together so you can compare. Just look how amazing the cream shadows are in Green Glimmer and Black Brilliance---they leave Lilac Luster (especially!) and Fuchsia Flash in the dirt!! But unfortunately, all the glitters aren't stellar.

I have one more but due to the small size of the back of my hand, this is the lone ranger...

This beauty is Gold Glitz and might be the most opaque of the bunch! The gold is definitely brighter and more yellow than I would have preferred but at least the pigmentation is on fleek! The gunmetal glitter is just to die for! That is one layer! Can you believe it?

And just for fun, here are ALL the swatches together!

I forgot to take pictures when I was wearing this, but I'm inserting some pictures from the Revlon website to show you some ways you can use these:

These are all using Desert Dazzle. And YES you can use the glitter on your lashes, supposedly, though I wouldn't if you have sensitive eyes like I can sometimes. You can do an intense look with these, like shown here, or something more wearable for every day, like what you are likely to see on my Instagram. I hope you found this post helpful!

REVLON LIP BUTTERS

Ok, so these are nothing new! But here's my two cents....

I love these Revlon Lip Butters! I love that they are not too pigmented, are super moisturizing, and have tons of colors to choose from. I can't remember how many there are...there's a ton! But I've picked up these 5 and probably won't pick up anymore. These really remind me a lot of the Rimmel Moisture Renewal lipsticks, which I also love!

Here they are swatched on the back of my hand and then on my lips! You can sheer them out even more, but I piled them on a bit so you can really see the color!

I really enjoy each of these shades, but have worn Pink Truffle & Peach Parfait the most so far. I can see myself repurchasing theses colors when I run out! I love that I don't have to wear a balm under these and that they have enough shine I don't have to wear a gloss on top either!

I feel like all these colors are pretty wearable! I was surprised at how much I really enjoyed Red Velvet. I got several compliments the day I wore it to work. The Berry Smoothie must be named after Strawberry's, because with a name like that, I though it would be more of a deep mauve, purple color, but I still enjoy it!  There are many colors in the collection that I just don't care for, but I still think look beautiful on other people! You can't go wrong picking a few of these up if you haven't already! What's your favorite color?

REVLON BEYOND NATURAL LASHES IN FLIRTY

I picked up the Revlon Beyond Natural lashes in Flirty a few weeks ago. I want to sport some fab lashes on Easter! I don't wear falsie's too often, but I'm trying to get better at putting them on.  I thought these were really cute ones! I also picked up the Revlon Precision lash glue.

Is it just me, or don't they look more natural dead on than when looking down? That's always been funny to me. Hmmm.... I still haven't figured out how to re-use lashes yet! Please leave tips in the comments below!!

REVLON COLOR BURST

I know everyone is very familiar with this line, but this is my first one of these! I picked it up at CVS the other day when they were having Buy one get one half off on Revlon!
I have heard so many great things about this lippie...I was so excited to finally try one!

This is soft nude!

Goodness, gracious! I like nude, but this is too much for me! Perhaps on a darker skin tone, this would be lovely. But for me, fail! Thank goodness CVS does returns! I'll exchange this for another color....any recommendations ladies?

I'm going to be posting some items for either swap / "shop my stash" soon. If you're interested, come back and check it out!

SUNNY BEIGE WHAAT?

If you read my blog regularly, like you know you should ;), then you'll remember that I got some Too Faced Tanning Bed in a a Tube a while back! It didn't turn out so well for me, so I returned it and got some Laura Mercier foundation. The makeup artist there matched me with Sunny Beige!! I'm always Fair or Light in all foundations, so I couldn't believe that this is my color! I know it's just a name, but I was happy!  Wow! I obviously didn't get the Revlon powder blush at Sephora, but I wanted to go ahead and review it along with this foundation.

"Oil Free Foundation
This highly pigmented foundation can be applied lightly for a sheer finish, or layered for fuller coverage. Each shade was designed to enhance the natural undertones of the skin. Ideal for all skin types. "

For $42 for 1 ounce, this better be good! I have read pretty good reviews on this foundation, so I was ready to give it a go when the makeup artist suggested this foundation for my dry skin. Again, I was super excited to wear Sunny Beige, which is a warm yellow beige, for fair to light complexions. It comes with a pump---yeah!! So here's the consistency:

As you can see, it's a bit runny, but I think this helps you apply it pretty sheer if you like. You can also build it up in areas you need more coverage. For me, I need major coverage under/around my eyes! Here's my naked face, in case you missed it last time I reviewed a foundation! Be prepared, it's not pretty!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Bring on the foundation!!

I love to use my Sedona Lace foundation brush in the areas I really need coverage! Then I like to blend the rest out on my face with my fingers.

So here I am with my foundation and blush on! You can see that I still need some more coverage under my eyes, but I know my Benefit Erase Paste can take care of this! But I think the foundation gives a pretty nice coverage without looking like I'm wearing any. It feels very light too, which I love. You have a small window of time to really spread this on, so using my hands to warm the foundation gives me a little bit more time to perfect it!

I love this blush! The color is Smokey Rose and it's so pretty! The pigmentation is decent, especially since I only paid $4!  But I think next time I'll spend more to get something more pigmented, like my NARS blush in Orgasm. Also, the packaging is SUPER hard to open!! Perhaps it will get easier the more I use it?? Two thumbs down for hard to open packaging! Here's a close up of the blush:

REVLON PHOTOREADY

After reading so many rave reviews and liking Revlon's Colorstay, I thought this was going to be gold for me! I love the bottle, LOVE the pump, and they seem to have a lot of shades for lighter skin. I am usuallly the lightest shade of drugstore foundations, but my Ulta was out of that one. So I bought the next one(Vanilla), which turned out to be too light! Other than the color being off, I have to say...I hated this foundation. I don't know if it's because my skin is so dry, but this didn't work for me in the least. It was very streaky no matter how I applied it; fingertips, sponge, makeup brushes...Nothing worked for me with this. Glad Ulta does returns because this is going back!!

Did this foundation work for you?

Don't forget to enter my NARS give-a-way! if you haven't already! Remember to read the directions first, or your entry doesn't count! =) Happy Hump Day!

REVLON COLORSTAY

Like most of you out there, I am constantly looking for a better foundation. After seeing a lot of reviews from youtube gurus I decided to give Revlon's colorstay a shot. I always have a hard time selecting the right shade, so I like to buy foundation somewhere I can either try it out first or return it with no problems.

I've been testing this out for about 4 weeks now and overall, I like it. The formula goes on really smooth using my beauty blender (which I love!) but doesn't go on as well with my SS190. This foundation gives medium to full coverage and is pretty blendable. It doesn't dry too fast or too slow, so I'm very pleased with that aspect. The coverage really lasted me all day and I never felt like I was wearing any foundation at all. Even to touch my face, you can't tell I'm wearing anything! I notice that when I use my beauty blender, I can get pretty light to medium coverage and build up to full coverage. When I use my SS190 to apply, I feel like I use a lot more product. It really wears all day, but would need to be touched up if going out at night. I personally prefer to remove all makeup and start fresh. I've already noticed that my skin has become lighter, so I'm already due to purchase another shade.

I can't remember how much I paid for this at CVS, but CVS online it sells for about $14. I don't remember paying that much in the store, but I could be wrong. You can find this at most drugstores, Walmart, and the like.
