So I've had a few of these for a while and just haven't really incoporated them into any looks yet. Why? Not sure what I'm doing!! I have the black, white, and dark brown ones. I'd really like to start using these but would love some tips from you all!
I was playing with these earlier to see what a few colors look like on each one---to see what difference it makes. And here's what I got:
From left to right, the color on my bare skin--no primer. Then on the black, white, and brown. Top color is a shimmery cranberry color and bottom is gold. I don't really see much of a difference, do you? Am I doing this wrong? See why I need your help?
Don't forgot to enter my NARS Give-a-way!!

There's a difference between the, although subtle. Without the white & black as a base the colors aren't as vibrant. With the black under, the colors are darker. The white makes the colors show true to shade or more vibrant.
I was going to purchase the milk pencil from NYC the white one you have)

That's what I thought too, but they really look the same. Do these replace an eye primer?
I don't think these are supposed to be a primer. I use them as a base (after priming my lids) to pop the main colours. They help the main colours stick better to the lids, and appear a little more vibrant. They are not colour enhancing product, so I wouldn't expect a miracle :-)
It just seems since they come in so many colors, they should do something to the color! My primer does a good job at making the colors stay and be more vibrant. Maybe I don't need these then.
Do you know where I can buy NYX makeup in the UK?
I don't think you can. =( I'm sure they ship to the UK though, but not sure how much shipping is. I've watched some youtubers from the UK review some NYX before.
I think w/ the white, it'll exaggerate the color - make them brighter and more shimmery.
With the black, great for a smokey look. And it brings out the shimmer even though it is dark.
Finally, the brown makes the brown colors pop more.
That's what I noticed :)
I agree with what Kim had to say. I think, based on YT videos I've watched, that the Jumbo Pencils are best used over UDPP or TFSI. I have had "milk" in my hands at Ulta several times and always put it back. I need to just buy it already! LOL! Maybe try using some other shadows?

I've never used them so I can't be of much help, sorry! I hear they make a nice base for eyeshadow if used lightly.
I HEART This product! I use a different one for my e/s base everyday. But make sure you wear a primer underneath because if worn alone it tends to crease. EWWW!! My faves are black bean and slate. Slate with a silver e/s looks super awesome! Then try combining it with other colors on the crease. Fuschia looks pretty RAD!! Thanks for this review. I like how you've experimented :)
I like the basic ones like milk and black bean. U will see a difference if u use duochrome Pigments for example MACs Pigment BlueBrown or old gold with different NYX Pencils!

I love these jumpo pencils! I have them in alot of color but I tend to use only black bean and milk. They do crease if I wear them alone as base. I have to wear a primer prior to putting this.
I love the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. My favorites are Milk and Black Bean. I always use them as a base. They make my eyeshadows really pop. They can be prone to creasing, but if you use your finger to apply them and evenly distribute the product, I never have any creasing problems. Love them!
